Skin79 BB Cream: Review, Pictures and Swatches

♥ Hello Gorgeous!!! ♥

It's been a while that I haven't posted a blog! But anyways, I'm back!! And now I will be posting  a review about Skin79 BB Cream. Do you have a soft spot for BB creams? Then, you might feel the same way for this brand and its upgraded version of BB creams that have been capturing many hearts from all over the world. Or could this be the BB cream you’re already using? Meet Skin79 BB Creams.

 Why do BB (Blemish Balm) creams are becoming more and more popular these days?
As an avid BB cream user, I can definitely say that it’s because of the many benefits it offers your skin, and not just coverage. Most BB creams have the highest SPF to protect you from the harmful UV rays, whitening properties to help eliminate those dark spots cause by acne breakouts, and anti-wrinkle benefits to smoother those fine lines, just to name a few. So, if you love BB cream, or on your way to fall in love with one, I won’t blame you.

SKIN79 is a well-known Korean skincare and makeup brand, it is also the 1st original brand which brought the BB cream’s product into the cosmetic market. It has already sold more than 700,000 bottles of BB cream in Korea and is also the favorite and must-use product for Korean stars. SKIN79's products  come from organic plant-based ingredients and are truly a natural skin care brand. Long-term use will not cause any problems on the skin, and can also play a basic protective effect against acne and skin problems.

My skin type: Fair skin tone — with combination/oily skin type (T-zone mainly) — plus dry patches and dark spots. I have ‘em all! And don’t even get me started with those fine lines!

Pros and Cons in General

Pros:

* nice golden undertones that really warms up my skin

* moisturizing

* leaves a nice satin finish - not glowy, but not totally matte

* on the higher end of coverage for a BB cream

* leaves a really smooth finish
* has sheer luminous/ dewy coverage
* the big bottle of this includes a lip/cheek tint in the lid

Cons:

* only SPF25
*  light to medium coverage only
*  won't cover any blemishes
has an obvious whitening effect, even on my pale skin
can be drying when first applied but doesn't control oil
*  no oil control

OK so there's an overview of all the different Skin79 BB creams I have. I am going to make some massive generalizations here and let you know who I think would like each of these the best. This is just a broad guideline, but I guess if I was new to korean BB creams maybe where I'd start and the branch out from there.

1. Skin79 Super+ Hot Pink SPF25 PA++

This is the staple of oily-normal skin types. It is the most popular of Skin79's BB creams and offers the best oil-control.

2. Skin79 Super+ Vital Orange SPF50+ PA+++

I have trouble recommending this as your first BB cream purchase because it is drying with no oil control at the same time. I like it in my arsenal due to the high SPF and the great color match, but I wouldn't like to use it more than a couple of days in a row. Definitely not for dry skin types.

3. Skin79 Snail Nutrition SPF45 PA+++

Best for normal-dry skin wanting sheer coverage and moisture. Do not buy if you are sensitive to strong scents.

4. Skin79 Super+ VIP Gold SPF25 PA++

Another great all rounder. Best for dry-combination but I wouldn't rule it out for oily complexions, particularly for the cooler months. Not quite as smooth as the Oriental Gold but offers better oil control.
